The Sager Group are redeveloping the former North London Mail Centre to create a 500,000 sq ft retail, leisure and residential scheme in the heart of Islington. Cushman & Wakefield has been instructed to lease 170,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, and in the process create a unique and eclectic tenant line-up which is in keeping with the fashionable and affluent nature of Islington.
With completion of the development scheduled to take place in 2017, Cushman & Wakefield has advised Sager in creating a unique retail and leisure leasing strategy which will make Islington Square the ultimate shopping and dining destination in the area. The strategy has been put in place by combining our unparalleled knowledge of the latest trends in the retail and restaurant world with detailed research into what the Islington customer needs this scheme to cater for.
The leasing strategy is now being implemented by Cushman & Wakefield’s Central London Retail and Leisure & Restaurant teams, with key retail and catering operators having been identified and approached. Occupier demand for this exciting scheme has been incredible, and we are working towards having the scheme fully let in time for its completion in 2017.
